"The time has come," the Walrus said, "To talk of many things..."

Hi everyone,

First, I would like to sincerely thank everyone who has supported and read the blog. It has been so important when finding a way to heal and cope over my dear cat, Jasmine's, passing. Without this blog, I can't imagine overcoming that period in my life. In many ways, it saved me from losing my hopes and dreams in life.

Secondly, yes, this sense of urgency and importance means that this blog has come to an end. It does not mean that I have packed my bags, and am quitting medical school. Or that I will cease to continue my artwork. It means that this blog has served it's purpose, and I hope that along the way I have been able to inform my readers about what it is like to apply to medical school. But most importantly, please take away that it's not all sunshine and roses when you get there.

In the medical field, there are many physicians, nurses, researchers, etc. who have had to face obstacles. Some of us get hit hard along the way, and have to find a way to keep chasing after their dream despite these hardships. Personally, I have had my fair share early on and continue to fight because, as cheesy as it sounds, and despite how much work this program really is, I know I am meant to become a physician.

I wish all of you the best in your futures, whatever that may be.

With love,
Cerena

In memory of Jasmine xoxo
