The Sunshine Award :D

Thank you for the nomination!

I've just been nominated for a sunshine award by Kasia from the Koju Bofu blog. Here are the rules:

  1. Thank the person who nominated you for the Sunshine Award and link them back.
  2. Then tell something about you.
  3. Spread the joy by nominating your bloggers and friends, it's a way of appreciation.
  4. Finally convey the bloggers about the nomination.

Thank you very much, Kasia! I was so happy to see that you had nominated me for this, as well as several other fantastic bloggers.

So a few facts about me:
  • I know how to speak English, French, and some Portuguese.
  • Baking is one of my greatest hobbies.
  • I have lexical gustatory synesthesia.
  • My favourite classes in university were: History of Medicine and Advanced Organic Chemistry.
Here are my nominations (based on the top three blogging friends I visit the most):

Running Codes in Heels - where would I be without her fashion advice? Clever, quick, and witty this blog is one of my all time favourites.
Run to Eat. Eat to Run - for her exercise tips.
Bichinhos Ba Cabeca - the cutest blog -- you must check it out.

Update: I just had to nominate a two more gals.

Hakelwerskatt - she makes the cutest little things.
Lovely Tan - such an interesting, and fantastic blog.

Have a great day, everyone :)

  1. Congratulations on the award. :)

    -Barb the French Bean

  2. Wow! Thanks C! Such an honour! :)

    1. No, thank you for motivating us all to keep fit :)

  3. How can organic chemistry be one of your favorite classes? Can you take my final for me, please? :p

Lexical gustatory synesthesia sounds sooo cool. I've heard it before, but I've never met anyone who's had it.

    1. Hahaha! You can do a fantastic job! If I can do it, you can do it. Just study hard, do a LOT of practice, and kick some ochem but for me!

Oh, and if you want to replicate the type of synaesthesia I have, do the following:
      1) grab a bowl of salt
      2) lick it every time you hear prominent "s" sounds
(you hear this more often than you'd think)

Or, if you want a nicer one (this word is my favourite):
      1) keep a chocolate bar in your purse at all times
      2) lick it every time you hear the word "chocolate"

      Lexical gustatory synaesthesia simulation: done.

  4. thank you so much for your nomination! :D
    I loved the drawing!

    1. :) I love your blog, Sara. It's fantastic!

  5. The drawing is wonderful! Cerena, I wonder, what words make the best tasting combination?:)

    1. Mmm probably chocolate jube jubes.
      :p haha
